16:40.12merlin1991overall it's 11930 though
16:46.00keriomerlin1991: how many dynamic-adsl-*.clienti.tiscali.it?
16:46.09keriobecause there's a big chance that they're all me
16:46.12kerio:D
16:46.21kerioi mean the tiscali.it ones
16:46.26kerionot all the 11930 ones
16:47.29merlin1991kerio: no reverse dns in the logs, and I cba to script that :DS
16:47.31merlin1991-S
16:48.31keriofair 'nuff
17:03.59DocScrutinizer05merlin1991: btw where you already 'approved' by x-fade/"Nokia" for repo maintenance but nobody ever made it to enable your access due to percieved problems with non-maemo stuff on the server, or sth along that line?
17:04.43DocScrutinizer05merlin1991: I seem to recall exactly this
17:04.53merlin1991x-fade tried to enable the admin garage group for me
17:05.03merlin1991so I get the admin functions on maemo.org/packages
17:05.05DocScrutinizer05:nod:
17:05.31DocScrutinizer05that means you're already 2legacy" maintainer of garage and repo, no?
17:05.46merlin1991not really since it never worked
17:05.55DocScrutinizer05that's irrelevant
17:06.07merlin1991all that changed, was that I suddenly got the emails for new garage projects
17:06.34DocScrutinizer05what changed is your approval status
17:06.52merlin1991I got added to this: https://garage.maemo.org/projects/gforge/
17:06.56merlin1991that's all
17:07.39DocScrutinizer05doesn't matter, you got approved by x-fade for maintainer of repo and garage, no matter if your account worked or not
17:09.24DocScrutinizer05so we don't need a new approval
17:10.17kerio:D
17:10.27kerioall heil the old repo overlord
17:10.49DocScrutinizer05first approach is we keep existing accounts, no matter if they work or not. If something doesn't work we fix it
17:12.32merlin1991yeah but my ssh account is a layer deeper than x-fade originally approved me for
17:12.44DocScrutinizer05writes a list with topics to announce during council meeting
17:13.04DocScrutinizer05merlin1991: that's a technical negligance
17:14.06DocScrutinizer05it's the general intention that counts, not the technical means we use to achieve it
17:14.53DocScrutinizer05you still got a user account with access to repo only, right?
17:15.12merlin1991didn't try today, but probably
17:15.16DocScrutinizer05no root permissions, no access to critical system stuff
17:15.22merlin1991yes
17:15.32DocScrutinizer05so everything is fine
17:16.12DocScrutinizer05I'll check with warfare about the garage account
17:16.48DocScrutinizer05or do you already have an account there too? (too lazy to check)
17:17.10merlin1991I don't have one on the garage machine
17:17.18merlin1991don't need one either
17:17.35DocScrutinizer05warfare: please create a maintainer (user) account for merlin1991 on garage
17:18.23merlin1991more intresting for me is one on drop, since that is the entry point for repo and builder
17:18.39DocScrutinizer05warfare: and on drop
17:19.52DocScrutinizer05(I sound like a gashead asshole manager, do I?)
17:21.14DocScrutinizer05(swap manager and asshole, for disambiguity)

19:20.21Paligetbootstate reading & storing state info to /var/lib/

19:34.16Paliso increasing reboot counter should be only once per boot
19:34.16kerioisn't there a getbootstate replacement?
19:34.21Paliyes, there is

19:34.38Palihttps://gitorious.org/community-ssu/getbootstate
19:34.38keriodoes the replacement also change the counter?
19:35.15Paliyes, it increasing it

21:24.11dafoxhi all :). I have 2 (semi-related) questions. Firstly, could you please give me an status update on the repositories, are they up and stable yet? (it doesn't quite seem to work for me yet, which is where question 2 is probably going to come in...)
21:25.13keriodafox: repository.maemo.org is up and well-running, the repos inside are still somewhat flaky
21:25.21kerioat least, extras-devel is flaky
21:25.24kerioand inconsistent
21:25.49dafoxhmm, ok, that may be what I am experiencing then. On to question 2: (please let me explain)
21:31.36dafoxI was investigating an issue with font rendering on my phone. So I was playing with theme-customizer to select different fonts, etc. At one point I thought I messed up my current theme (hildon-theme-marina, I believe). I decided that a uninstall-install of the theme should work. I did so through HAM. However it seems it did not, it refused to install: the download progress bar would fill, then quickly say installing, then back to downloading,
21:31.37dafoxthen after a few times it would just say 'download failed'. I then added a mirror repository of extras (from one of the links on the TMO forum). This allowed me to install the theme again, but it seems to be a different version. I have since disabled that mirror again. Now when I try to install hildon-theme-marina from the commandline, after downloading, it says "Hash Sum mismatch". I think that may be what you describe as flakey?
21:35.23kerioyep, that's the main repo issue
21:35.33kerioare you installing it from extras or extras-devel
21:35.58dafoxI decided to try the newest, so I think it's from extras-devel
21:36.12keriodafox: extras-devel from repository.maemo.org and mirrors is problematic
21:36.15dafoxI'm not sure how to check, extras-devel is enabled in HAM
21:36.30keriohttp://extras-devel.merlin1991.at/extras-devel-light.install
21:36.38kerioit's a rerepositorying of extras-devel
21:36.43keriowith only the latest versions
21:36.50kerioand pdiff support so updates take very little data
21:36.59kerioand it's Flawless™
21:37.33dafoxhaha :p ok, let me try to add that to HAM then (I'll disable the 'normal' extras-devel then?)
21:37.51kerio(yep)
21:41.16dafoxmmm... failed to refresh? "sub process bzip2 returned an error code"?
21:42.12dafoxthat is the web-address, right? And I should use 'fremantle' for distribution, and add "free non-free" to components?
21:44.43keriodafox: no, that's a link to open in Web
21:44.57keriothe repo would be just http://extras-devel.merlin1991.at/
21:45.06kerioand yes, fremantle as the distro and free non-free as the components
21:45.38dafoxah, my bad. retrying
21:47.26keriothe .install files are instructions for HAM
21:47.31keriothat specific one adds the catalogue
21:51.56dafoxthat is better... HAM did not show any updates, so I'm trying to reinstall it from the commandline. I saw one error (could not replace symlink: invalid cross-device link), but it installed. Now to test...
21:52.56*** join/#maemo-ssu nox- (noident@freebsd/developer/nox)
21:53.50dafoxYes!! it worked, and this seems to be the correct version (or at least one which looks like before) :D Thank you!
21:56.59dafoxIs there any point in keeping the Nokia repositories enabled?
22:00.07keriothe nokia repos are necessary
22:00.23keriothe community repos are basically an overlay on them
22:00.26keriokinda like linux mint and ubuntu
22:00.38dafoxI read they weren't working (yet)?
22:04.30kerioit's just that HAM won't consider them for upgrades
22:04.53dafoxok, I re-enabled them already :)
22:05.43dafoxkerio: could/would you be willing to test something for me? do you have either 'yappari' or 'cute-tube' installed?
22:05.51keriono
22:05.56dafoxok
22:07.29dafoxThe 'problem' is that in some lists (i.e. not all), the text will get garbled when I scroll upwards (scrolling down is fine). Those two apps in particular seem to be affected. But I'm unable to find anyone else who experiences this... so I'm wondering what is wrong with my phone. If it's those apps it should happen for everyone, I think...
