07:17.16KNERDjuned: sounds like some coding to be done to tell it to not record it is there is no answer
07:18.30junedNo, I need to record even if it is not answered
07:18.43junedby default it is not recording if no answer
07:19.23junedI think if call is not answered it's not hitting to context where I've set some variables

10:59.11junedcarrar: I am having issue with setting custom variables for unanswered call
10:59.52junedis there any settings for that ?
11:00.54carrarsorry I don't know what you are asking
11:01.07junedLet me explain
11:02.28junedI'm setting some custom variable in dialplan i.e exten => _X.,n,set(CDR(unique_camp)=${UNIQ})
11:02.40junedthis works well when call is answered
11:03.02junedbut when call is not answered I see this field as blank in cdr table
11:06.31carrarHow about userfield?
11:16.57*** join/#asterisk bkruse (~Adium@user-69-1-25-11.knology.net)
11:20.02junedcarrar: yep let me try it out
11:20.21junedbut where I'll set that userfield, in dialplan ?
11:21.24carrartry it instead of unique_camp
11:21.55junedokay
11:22.03carrarunique_camp is a custom field, userfield is not
11:23.07junedbut If i set it in dialplan and call is not answered then its not gonna work because unanswered calls doesn't hit dialplan
11:23.12junedStill let me try

11:30.16junednope it didn't work
11:30.28carrardid you restart asterisk when you changed cdr.conf?
11:30.38junedas its not even hitting to dilaplan
11:30.46carrarthen you have a dialplan issue
11:31.31junedexten => _X.,n,Set(CDR(userfield)= ${UNIQ})
11:31.36junedI've set like this
11:31.51carrarbut you just told me that line is not getting hit
11:32.02carrarso you put it in the wrong place in your dialplan
11:32.36carraror something more specific is getting matched
11:33.24junednope not that line
11:33.31junedwhole dialplan is not getting hit
11:33.36junedif I answer it will
11:33.38junedhttp://pastebin.com/M6xS7eD5
11:33.39carrarSo you need to figure where your call is going first
11:33.49junedI'm using call file
11:33.58junedsee pastebin link
11:37.00carrarI don't see a extension in that call file
11:39.14junedContext: my_extension
11:39.23carrar<carrar> I don't see a extension in that call file
11:39.48carrar"my_extension" is a context, not a extension
11:40.14carrarX. is matching on a extension
11:40.53carrarIf you don't give a extension you should match on s
11:42.59junedWhat if i put Extension:1001 in call file  ?
11:43.13carrarGive is a whirl
11:43.32carrars/is/it/

17:16.26[TK]D-FenderThis is why you DON'T fuck witth the evidence when you pastebin.
17:16.42[TK]D-FenderBecause then we wouldn't think we're looking at something that matches... when it doesn't
17:16.59jwwI'm not sure of what you mean.
17:17.16[TK]D-Fender"forgot a number".
17:17.20[TK]D-FenderYou've changed the #'s
17:17.32[TK]D-FenderSo we aren't looking at real things
17:17.37[TK]D-FenderAnd if you're off by a digit...
17:17.44jwwyes , I don't want those phone number to be avalaibles online
17:17.49[TK]D-Fenderor whatever you're looking at is seriously off... we don't get to see that
17:18.01jwwwhat I mean is that I forget to sed one of the number, but the logic remains.
17:19.55jwwit's not a problem that there are 2 contexts with name default ?
17:28.10[TK]D-FenderYou shouldn't repeat names
17:28.27[TK]D-Fenderand "dialplan show" tells you what's what

17:50.23jr219ok, so.. playing with AMI.. I want to capture when a call is picked up by an extension to do a screen pop.. Seems like I need to be looking at Newchannel and Hangup events? Some reading says, it may be easier to just add a SetVar to the dialplan with callerID info and simply capture that SetVar event? I need to know callerid and the extension who answered it.. I’d also love to know outgoing calls too.. seems like I’m reinventing the wheel
17:50.24jr219here..

17:57.25[TK]D-FenderOr make a UserEvent
17:58.08[TK]D-FenderWant a pop?  make your OWN to look for with all the info you need in it
18:16.07jr219I’ll look at UserEvents.. I’d really just love something I could put in as a passthrough destination.. kinda like call recording..
