00:25.33zwaycan someone give me a hand? I'm having problems configuring NAT traversal with Asterisk 13 and PJSIP. I seem to be getting SIP messages to and from the server fine, but my RTP stream doesn't seem to work (no audio). Here's a sample from the logs, it looks like it's still trying to use the internal IP: http://pastebin.com/1AbSYr94

01:35.33zwayaha! figured it out. Seems I had my internal_addr wrong, so it was detecting all my traffic as needing the interal ip for the INVITE SDP.

02:29.27WIMPyRadicalDev: You will need to at least find out which module explodes.
02:31.08RadicalDevWIMPy: Kernel panic indicates an issue with the PCI E bridge.
02:31.31WIMPyThat sounds rather unspecific :-(
02:32.08RadicalDevYep... Right after Global TDM Ring Resync TDM = 0x1,  comes Hardware error from APEI Generic Hardware Error Source: 32994
02:35.10RadicalDevhttp://pastebin.com/mtC6E0Jh --- kdump log
02:35.24WIMPyalso had issues with a PCIe card that generates unrelistic amounts of interrupts, but luckily that doesn't cause any problems.

02:36.27RadicalDevI created a support ticket with Sangoma. Maybe they can help.
02:37.37WIMPyI agree. It looks to me as if it comes from the bridge itself, too.

02:43.37RadicalDevreally strange... I can unplug and plug into the card at will, but if I do it from the CPE side,  bad things happen.
02:44.38*** join/#asterisk crocodilehunter (~Thunderbi@CPE-121-211-223-68.hhui7.cht.bigpond.net.au)
02:46.34WIMPyYou mean it only happens on one port?
02:48.50RadicalDevso it's a 2 port card, one is used for Adtran -> box, and one is used for box -> pbx., box -> pbx is achieved with a crossover cable.
02:49.11RadicalDevunplugging from the box side of box->pbx is fine, but unplugging from the pbx side of box->pbx causes a kernel panic
02:49.22RadicalDevno issues on the other port
02:49.48WIMPySo it only happens on one end of the cable?
02:49.52RadicalDevyep
02:49.58WIMPyThat sounds strange.
02:50.01RadicalDevit is!
02:50.40RadicalDev2 different A200s tried, 2 different servers (both dell, one R220, and one poweredge somethingorother), 2 different kernel versions, different wanpipe versions, different dahdi versions, different asterisk versions
02:51.08WIMPyBut even if the cable should be bad in some way, an exploding kernel is pretty uncool.
02:52.13RadicalDevyeah, I may try another cable tomorrow. The crimpers we have at the office are terrible. I did try reversing the cable, though, with the same results.
02:52.43RadicalDevother than the cable, and low level hardware details I'm not aware of, the only other commonality is the PCI express riser slot.
02:53.31WIMPyI prefer crossover adapters and straigt cables only. With special cables you sooner or later end up with the wrong cable somewhere.
02:54.03WIMPyJust a riser or a bridge?
02:54.26WIMPyI guess you could tell the kernel somewhere to ignore the issue.
02:54.51WIMPyOr not support it.
02:54.51RadicalDevIt's a PCB with some caps on it, and takes the PCI express slot on the board, raises it about an inch and a quarter, and rotates it 90 degrees
02:55.42RadicalDevthey come with these 1U/2U chassis
02:55.58WIMPyAs long as there are no ICs on it, it shouldn't do much, except for making the timing tighter.

05:25.10pools0nwell skills in general !
05:25.32WIMPyI know nothing.
05:25.46pools0nknew it !
05:25.56WIMPyI know so much nothing that I have nothing to share. And that's lots of nothin :-)
05:26.08WIMPy~ask
05:26.08infobotQuestions in the channel should be specific, informative, complete, concise, and on-topic.  Don't ask if you can ask a question first.  Don't ask if a person is there; just ask what you intended to ask them.  Better questions more frequently yield better answers.  We are all here voluntarily or against our will.
05:26.11pools0nnothin is as nothing does dude
05:28.17[TK]D-Fenderpools0n, Seriously...  don't use pointless leading questions... doesn't do anyone any good.
05:30.38[TK]D-FenderOh... scrolling back I see that "pointless" is SOP

05:32.03WIMPyOoooh. Standards... ;-)
05:32.42[TK]D-Fendermore like "upsettingly typical"
05:32.45pools0nseriously !
05:33.32WIMPySo is there a real question?
05:34.02pools0ngood you finally asked how you might help me
05:34.21pools0nwell im trying to set something up where i can "click a button" ... web interface, app or something
05:34.24WIMPyIt's you who should be asking.
05:34.33pools0nto connect an extension and an external number
05:35.38[TK]D-FenderAnd I already told you how you can do this
05:35.46[TK]D-FenderSo why are we back to square one?
05:35.47WIMPySounds like a sensible use for AMI, but where is the question?
05:35.51pools0nyeah dude
05:36.00pools0nwell dude calm yourself
05:36.04pools0nhe asked a question
05:36.14pools0nsince im the only cool and polite dude here i answered him
05:36.23pools0nanyway i got some lib that does some shit in ami
05:36.28pools0nbut doesnt appear to set up a channel
05:36.35pools0nor maybe theres some particular way to do it
05:37.08[TK]D-Fender<X-Rob> hey, pools0n. I'm unilaterally deciding that you're being a deliberate arse, and I am giving you one - and only one - warning to stop it.  Do not attempt to be a smart alec in your response, a simple 'OK' or similar will suffice.  I'm serious, this is your only warning.
05:37.24WIMPyWell, you should refer to that libs documentation then.
05:37.28[TK]D-Fender<pools0n> how about a simple suck my cock ?
05:37.28[TK]D-Fender* pools0n grins like a champ
05:37.34[TK]D-Fender<PROTECTED>

05:37.56pools0nwimpy yeah man .. dit that .. seems to not cover that topic
05:38.03pools0nso perhaps somewhere else i can set that up

05:38.19[TK]D-FenderAMI Originate is it
05:38.24[TK]D-Fenderthat is the method
05:38.28pools0nthere ya go
05:38.34WIMPyI can only tell you about AMI. No idea about any libs whatever they may be.
05:38.35pools0nill have to have a look at that
05:38.52pools0ni'll keep you on the back burner wimpy
05:39.12WIMPyUse wiki.asterisk.org. It should give you the details you need.
05:39.32pools0ndude that wiki is such a steaming heap of shit
05:39.54pools0njust a meandering storyline with very hit or miss results
05:40.03WIMPyIf you think so, you probably don't want to use Asterisk as that's the best we have.
05:40.34WIMPyBut the search function is indeed not very helpfull.
05:40.34pools0nwell i make the best of what we have currently
05:41.22pools0nanyway hold on fender made himself useful with that bit about ami originate
05:41.26pools0nso ill check that now !
05:43.08[TK]D-Fender<[TK]D-Fender> So call out, then call another & bridge?
05:43.08[TK]D-Fender<pools0n> ya mon

18:58.49_nexxus_have a really strange problem maybe someone can help with?  i have 2 pbxes.. both running same version of asterisk (13.6) .. both have similar configurations.. similar trunks, similar dial plans, etc. .. one server has openvpn on it, vpn established, no problem.. etc. .. everything works fine.. the other, when i bring up a vpn tunnel, even if i'm not actually using the tunnel for anything, can't make calls through an outbound trunk/sip
18:58.49_nexxus_provider.. does the sip signaling, etc., but no rtp and it keeps sending INVITEs to the sip provider.. default route is fine when the tunnel is up, no traffic goes out it
18:58.58_nexxus_bring the tunnel down, everything works fine
19:00.07_nexxus_only difference i can see is that there are more 'candidate' lines (for the vpn interface) in the SIP INVITE
19:01.32_nexxus_though i do notice more udp fragmentation
19:01.52_nexxus_presumably because the candidate attributes take up bits
19:02.33_nexxus_anyone have any ideas?
