15:45.32leifmadsenhey guys!  I have a routing question...
15:46.06Juggiewaits
15:46.44leifmadsenI have a router attached to the Internet (192.168.128.1), and a server attached to it (192.168.128.3).  The server is connected to a VPN. I want to route all traffic for 192.168.1.x (which is the VPN IP range) through 192.168.128.3. I would like ton configure the router and server in such a way that all the traffic is automatically forwarded, so I don't have ot modify the devices on my network.
15:47.28leifmadsenI added a route on the router that says, "traffic for 192.168.1.x has a gateway of 192.168.128.3", but I think I need some iptables rules on that server so that it will forward the packets, since it just responds back right now wth  'nexthop 192.168.1.x'
15:48.52Juggiewhat software on the router?
15:50.11leifmadsendd-wrt
15:50.26leifmadsenjust iptables I guess
15:50.44leifmadsenrequest --> 192.168.128.1 --> 192.168.128.3 --> VPN
15:50.50leifmadsenboth .1 and .3 are basically Linux
15:55.30leifmadsenactually... adding the route might have been all I needed

16:17.25leifmadsenwell that is weird.... it'll work for about a minute, then it just stops working, even though the VPN is still up and active on the gatway box... I must have something wrong still
16:30.23leifmadsenaha, ok something was wrong on the router, so now that is fixed... now just to figure out how to route through 192.168.128.3 :)
17:43.50Juggieyou should be able to create a static route
